to apply the system commands entered in the previous steps to the startup configuration, follow the steps below:

    1. to display the running configuration, enter the following command:

    switch 8100fl(config)#show running

    for example:

   

    2. to save the configuration changes from the running configuration to the startup configuration file, enter the write memory command:

    switch 8100fl(config)#write memory

    the switch reinstates all configuration changes for the next reboot.
