you can password-protect cli access to the series 8100fl switch by setting up passwords for exec mode access, privileged exec mode access, and terminal line access. if you have a user password but not an enable password, you can use only the commands available in exec mode. if you have an enable password, you can use commands available in the privileged exec and configuration modes, as well as the commands in exec mode.
