for desktop or shelf mounting, use the rubber "feet" shipped on a black adhesive strip with the chassis. they protect the chassis and provide a nonskid surface.

    take the following steps to attach the rubber feet:

    step 1 locate the rubber feet that shipped with the chassis.

    step 2 place the router upside-down on a smooth, flat surface.

    the following warning applies to cisco 3660 routers:

    two people are required to lift the chassis. grasp the chassis underneath the lower edge and lift with both hands. to prevent injury, keep your back straight and lift with your legs, not your back. to prevent damage to the chassis and components, never attempt to lift the chassis with the handles on the power supplies or on the interface modules. these handles were not designed to support the weight of the chassis. to see translations of the warnings that appear in this publication, refer to the regulatory compliance and safety information document that accompanied this device.

    step 3 peel the rubber feet off the black adhesive strip and place them adhesive-side down at each corner of the underside of the chassis.

    step 4 place the router top-side up on a flat, smooth, secure surface.

    do not place anything on top of the router that weighs more than 10 pounds (4.5 kg). excessive weight on top could damage the chassis.
