the telco version of the cisco 3660 router is shipped with a chassis shield that is installed as follows:
step 1 align the chassis shield with the rear panel of the router. (see figure 3-41.)
step 2 secure the louvered chassis shield by tightening the two captive screws at the side of the shield. (see figure 3-41.)
step 3 if necessary, remove one or more of the cable panels on the chassis shield (figure 3-42), and route cables through this opening.
this prevents the cables from being bent or stressed by the chassis shield.
