as soon as you click "set now" in this window, the keyboard language is set and the keyboard is re- mapped, but only for the time you are in linux setup tool.
this step modifies the files
/etc/sysconfig/keyboard and
/etc/sysconfig/i18n
once you have completed setting the functionality for this tab, you can go to the next tab.
do not click on the "save" button until you have setup all workstation functionality as this will exit you from the linux setup tool.
