    hardware installation

    1. turn off your computer.

    2. plug the scsi card in an available slot of your computer. be sure to screw it firmly.

    3. turn on your computer.

    software installation

    windows 3.1

    if your scanner comes with an adaptec ava-1505ae, then the installation of the scsi card driver will be complete during the installation of the scanner driver.

    windows 95

    windows 95 has embedded driver support for your host adapter. when you start windows 95, the host adapter is detected and the appropriate driver is automatically installed.

    windows nt

    1. press start]setting]control panel. and choose "scsi adapter" from the control panel menu. the "scsi adapter" dialog box is displayed. choose driver.

    2. choose "add" and "select manufacturer and scsi adapter".

    3. select "adaptec" as the manufacturer and "aic-6x60 isa single chip scsi controller" as the adapter and then confirm.

    4. follow the on-screen instruction to complete the installation.

    5. restart your windows nt.

    if you purchase your scsi card separately from the scanner, then please follow the installation instruction provided by your scsi card supplier.
