ata/ide configuration [enhanced]
本项目因应用户操作系统的不同而设计，若您使用较旧的操作系统，例如ms-dos、windows 98se/me 等，请设为[compatible] 模式；而使用windows 2000/2003 或升级的操作系统，请设为[enhanced]。设置值有：[disabled] [compatible] [enhanced]。
当您将「ata/ide configuration」设置为[enhanced mode]时，则会出现「configure sata as」与「third ide master/slave」这两项供您调整。
configure sata as [ide]
本项目用来设置serial ata 硬件设备的相关设置。
若您要将serial ata 作为parallel ata 实体存储接口，请将本项目设置为[ide]。
若要在serial ata 硬盘建构raid 功能，请将本项目设置为[raid]。
当选择[raid]模式时，会出现onboard sata raid rom [disabled] 选项。
将raid_sel1 的跳线帽接在[1-2] 短路时，则您可以通过lsi logicembedded sata raid 工具程序设置raid 0 或raid1 功能（支持在windows 2000/2003 server/xp 与red hat enterprise ver.3.0 版的系统环境）。请参考4.2 节的说明。
若将raid_sel1 的跳线帽接在[2-3] 短路时，则您可以通过intelmatrix storage 工具程序设置raid 0 或raid1 功能（支持在windows2000/2003 server/xp 版的系统环境）。
achi 模式可让内置的存储设备启动高级的serial ata 功能，由于原生命令排序技术来提升工作性能。

当本项目设置为[raid] 或[ahci]，sata controller 项目会设置为
native 模式。
onbaord sata raid rom [disabled]
本项目用来设置serial ata raid 固件程序运行与否。
[onboard sata raid rom] 项目只有当您将[configure sata as] 这项设置为[raid] 时，才会显示。
legacy ide channels [sata pri, pata sec]
本项目用来设置serial ata、parallel ata 或两者的运行模式组合。设置值有：
1 [sata only] - 可以使用sata1, sata2, sata3 与sata4 端口。
2 [pata pri, sata sec] - 可以使用pata, sata2 与sata4 端口。
3 [sata pri, pata sec] - 可以使用sata1, sata3 与pata 端口。
4 [pata only] - 仅可以使用pata 端口。
[legacy ide channels] 选项，只有当您将[ata/ide configuration] 这项设置为[compatible] 时，才会显示。
ide 设备菜单(primary, tertiary, fourth ide master/slave)
当您进入bios 程序时，程序会自动检测系统已存在的ide 设备，程序将ide 各信道的主副设备独立为单一选项，选择您想要的项目并按＜enter＞ 键来进行各项设备的设置。
在画面中出现的各个字段（device、vendor、size、lba mode、blockmode、pio mode、async dma、ultra dma 与smart monitoring）的数值皆为bios 程序自动检测设备而得。若字段显示为n/a ，代表没有设备连接于此系统。
type [auto]
本项目可让您选择ide 设备类型。选择auto 设置值可让程序自动检测与设置ide 设备的类型；选择cdrom 设置值则是设置ide 设备为光学设备；而设置为armd（atapi 可去除式媒体设备）设置值则是设置ide 设备为zip 软驱、ls-120 软驱或mo 驱动器等。设置值有：[not installed][auto] [cdrom] [armd]。
lba/large mode [auto]
开启或关闭lba 模式。设置为[auto] 时，系统可自行检测设备是否支持lba 模式，若支持，系统将会自动调整为lba 模式供设备使用。设置值有：[disabled] [auto]。
block (multi-sector transfer) [auto]
开启或关闭数据同时传送多个扇区功能。当您设为[auto] 时，数据传送便可同时传送至多个扇区，若设为[disabled]，数据传送便只能一次传送一个扇区。设置值有：[disabled] [auto]。
pio mode [auto]
选择pio 模式。设置值有：[auto] [0] [1] [2] [3] [4]。
dma mode [auto]
提供您选择dma 的模式。设置值有：[auto] [swdma0] [swdma1]
[swdma2] [mwdma0] [mwdma1] [mwdma2] [udma0] [udma1]
[udma2] [udma3] [udma4] [udma5]。
smart monitoring [auto]
开启或关闭自动检测、分析、报告技术（smart monitoring, analysis,and reporting technology）。设置值有：[auto] [disabled] [enabled]。
32bit data transfer [disabled]
开启或关闭32 位数据传输功能。设置值有：[disabled] [enabled]。
ide detect time out [35]
本项目用来选择自动检测ata/atapi 设备的等待时间。设置值有：[0][5] [10] [15] [20] [25] [30] [35]。
