ata/ide configuration [enhanced]
提供您选择针对所用的作业系而采用哪一种ide 运作模式。若您使用的操作系统为/如windows 2000/xp，则请将本项目设定为[enhanced]。若使用的操作系统为windows me/98/nt 或ms-dos，则请将本项目设定为[compatible]。设定值有：[disabled] [compatible] [enhanced]。
当ata/ide configuration 设定为[enhanced] 模式时，以下的configure sata as 选项才会出现。
当ata/ide configuration 设定为[enhanced] 与configure sata as [ide] 或[ahci] 模式时，tertiary 与fouth ide master/slave 选项才会出现。
configure sata as [ide]
设定经由南桥芯片所支持的serial ata 功能模式。设定值有：[ide][raid] [ahci]。
若您要用serial ata 作为parallel ata 实体储存接口，请设本项为[ide]。
当本项目设定为[raid] 模式时，则表示您将要透过intel matrix storage manager 程序来建立raid 0、raid 1、raid 0+1 或raid 5 设定，或若您想要透过lsi logic embedded sata raid 工具程序来建立raid 0、raid 1 或raid 0+1 设定。
在部份的linux 分配不能支持sata raid，遇到此状况时，请将ata/ide configuration 设定为[compatible] 模式。否则， linux 会侦测不到sata 硬盘机。
当您想要使用或设定使用在suse linux enterprise server sp1 操作系统环
境下的sata 硬盘时，请将configure sata as 这项目设为[raid]。由于操作系统的限制，您必须设定一个sata raid 为使用任一sata 装置（进行raid 的设定需要最少2 颗硬盘才能建立）。请参考第六章与第七章关于设定sata raid 的介绍。
ahci 模式可以让内建的储存装置启动进阶的serial ata 功能，藉由原生指令排序来提升工作效能。
若要serial ata 硬件装置使用advanced host controller interface（ahci），请将本项目设定为[ahci]。关于ahci 更详细的说明，请参考以下网址上的相关讯息：

当本项设为[raid] 或[ahci]，sata controller项目会设定为native 模式。
当ata/ide configuration 项目设定为[compatible] 时，legacy idechannels 项目才会显示。
legacy ide channels [sata pri, pata sec]
本项目用来设定serial ata、parallel ata 或两者的运作模式组合。设定值有：
1 [sata only] - 可以使用sata1、sata2、sata3 与sata4 埠。
2 [sata pri, pata sec] - 可以使用sata1、sata3 与pata 埠。
3 [pata pri, sata sec] - 可以使用pata、sata2 与sata4 埠。
4 [pata only] - 仅可以使用pata 埠。
ide detect time out (sec) [35]
本项目用来选择自动侦测ata/atapi 装置的等待时间。设定值有：[0][10] [15] [20] [25] [30] [35]。
