the most frequently-used functions are accessed by pressing the buttons located on the top of the remote control. less-frequently used buttons, such as the menu button and the softkeys, are shielded by a sliding cover.
infrared signals are sent out from the bulb at the top of the remote control and are picked up by the receiver on the vtop camera unit.
