please make sure your system is working properly and free of viruses.

    if you are installing dvstorm on a system that had another canopus dv card installed on it, we highly suggest installing dvstorm to a fresh installation of the os. if this is not possible, please make sure all components of the prior installation have been removed.

    use add/remove programs to remove all the programs and codecs.

    if adobe premiere or mediastudio pro was installed, uninstall these programs and make sure any canopus plug-ins have been removed.

    also delete the canopus.ini file from your windows directory if there is one there.

    if you plan to use adobe premiere, please install premiere by following the instructions included in the premiere package and apply any necessary updates before installing the dvstorm software. this will make sure the premiere plugin is installed with the rest of the dvstorm software.
