the analog output of dvstorm does not output the leftmost and rightmost 5 pixels in ntsc mode (710x480 of the full 720x480).

    this area occurs in the overscan area, most viewers will not notice any difference at all. however, when outputting to a video projector or similar device that displays the entire video frame, a thin vertical black border will appear on the extreme left and right of the output image.

    while editing, sound is output through dv and the analog connections on dvstorm. however, editing sound is not output through the computer speakers. if you want to hear audio through your computer speakers while editing, connect the dvstorm's audio output to you soundcard's line input and make sure your soundcard's line input is not muted.
