    do the following to shut down your computer:

    1.save and close all files with which you are working.

    2.close all open applications.

    3.click the windows start button.

    4.select shut down; then, click ok to confirm.

    in some circumstances,your new computer might not turn off immediately when you press the power control button.if this happens,press and hold the powercontrol button until the computer turns off.

    the power control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device. the device also might have more than one power cord. to remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the power source.
