your audio card has these jacks and connectors which allow you to attach other devices:

1 a jack is a one-hole connecting interface whilst a connector consists of many pins. refer to the user guide, "hardware information", for connector pin assignments.
2 in analog mode, line out and rear out jacks can be used simultaneously for 4.1 channel speaker systems. the analog/digital out jack can be used for the center and subwoofer (lfe) channels for 5.1 speaker systems.
