the external audigy drive has an infrared receiver for the remote control. this remote control lets you operate your computer from the comfort of your sofa or bed up to a distance of 4 meters. for details, refer to the remotecenter online help.

    1.to install surround mixer and other applications, see “nstalling drivers and applications”on page 3-1.

    2.for best effects, set the headphones volume and microphone gain levels to 75% in surround mixer, and then use the external audigy drive's control knobs to make further adjustments.

    3.if you set the headphones volume or microphone gain levels to 0%, or mute them in surround mixer, you hear no sound if the external audigy drive's control knobs are set to the maximum.
