the mpeg composer has a diagnostics tool that lets you test mpeg moviemaker 200 hardware and system functions. it is best to test your hardware immediately after switching on your system.

    to test the mpeg moviemaker 200 hardware:

    1. in the mpeg composer program group, double-click diagnostics. the diagnostics window appears.

   

    2. select the board or component you want to test, click the right mouse button and select test;

    √indicates a positive test result; ×indicates a negative result.

    3. to view test results, select the board or component again.

    test results appear on the right side of the diagnostics window.

    4. to stop a test before completion, right-click on the tested component and select abort. (aborting a test will cause inaccurate results.
