    changing vtr device control settings from windows

    if problems occur with the device control, make sure that the vtr device control settings are correct and suited to your operating system. in most cases you can use the mpeg composer’s configuration utility to change the vtr device control’s com port settings. you can also change these settings from windows.

    1. on the windows nt start menu, click settings.

    2. click control panel.

    the control panel window appears.

    3. double-click multimedia.

    the multimedia properties window appears.

    4. under devices, click media control devices.

    5. double-click softvtr mci driver for sony rs-422 and then click settings.

    6. in the softvtr mci driver configuration window, change the time code and com port settings.
