1 insert the 3com installation cd in the cd-rom drive.

    the welcome screen appears. if not, double-click on my computer, and then doubleclick on the cd-rom drive icon to invoke the welcome screen.

    2 click nic software.

    3 click 3com connection assistant.

    4 follow the prompts on the screen.

    a 3com connection assistant icon appears on your windows desktop. double-click the icon to start the program.
