cables that connect the dtu to the 3600 mainstreet series node must be manufactured from standard gauge twisted-wire pairs, and must comply with approved local requirements. the maximum allowable cable length depends on the physical characteristics of the cable. table 2-1 provides guidelines on maximum dtu operating distances based on wire gauge.
