the line, dtr and ready leds indicate the status of the communication paths shown in figure 2-11.
line led
the line led lights when there is an end-to-end (physical) connection between the dtu and the 3600 mainstreet series node (the line is synchronized). the led flashes if the connection is broken. the line led may also flash if the slot in which the dnic line card is installed has not been configured.
dtr led
a dtr led lights to show the status of the control signals listed in table 2-3. the dtr led lights if:
1 the monitored control signal from the attached data equipment is high and the dtu is dce; or
2 the control signal was set high by the 3600 mainstreet series node.
when the bert feature is active on a 2612 or 2613 mainstreet dtu, a lit dtr led indicates a test in progress.
ready led
a ready led lights if the dtu is in one of the following modes:
1 transparent rate adaption
2 hcm rate adaption with an end-to-end connection between the dtu and one of the following:
1. remote site dtu
2. remote site dcm
3. remote site dcc
4. an srm
3 loopback b
when the bert feature is active on the 2612 or 2613 mainstreet dtu, a lit ready led indicates the dtu is in synchronization.
power led
the power led lights when the dtu is connected to an active ac source using the dtu ac power adapter.
