the port, a, b and line leds indicate the status of the communication paths shown in figure 2-13.
port leds
the port leds light when there is data flow on the port indicated.
a and b leds
for the 2608 mainstreet dtu only, an a or b led lights when there is a communication path to the far-end 2608 mainstreet dtu (the 2608 mainstreet dtu can only communicate with another 2608 mainstreet dtu). the a and b leds do not apply to the 2610 mainstreet dtu since it does not use aggregate ports a and b; it only uses the d channel.
line led
the line led lights when there is an end-to-end (physical) connection between the dtu and the 3600 mainstreet series node (the line is synchronized). the led flashes if the connection is broken. the line led may also flash if the slot in which the dnic line card is installed has not been configured.
power led
the power led lights when the dtu is connected to an active ac source using the dtu ac power adapter.
