a variety of data rates and rate adaption options are supported by the 2601, 2602, 2603, 2608, 2610 and 2613 mainstreet dtus. for more details, consult the relevant 3600 mainstreet series documentation.

    some versions of the 2602, 2603 and 2613 mainstreet dtus support data rates up to 128 kb/s (super-rate). when configured for super-rate speeds, only one device port can be used at a time, either a or b. the loop length performance of the dtu is not affected when operating at super-rate speeds.

    to support super-rate speeds, subrate multiplexing or multidrop data bridging, a dpm must be installed on the dnic line card.
