Install Windows XP or Windows 2000
make sure your rt.x100 card is not installed in your computer when you install your windows software. if it is, windows will attempt to install software drivers for it. this could cause software conflicts when you install your rt.x100 software.
install windows xp (home or professional) or windows 2000 professional (with service pack 2 or later). if your windows 2000 cd does not contain "with service pack 2" in its title, you can obtain service pack 2 software from the microsoft web site at www.microsoft.com. if you already have windows 2000 installed, you can check if service pack 2 is installed by right-clicking my computer, then choosing properties ] general.
