after installing matrox x.tools, you can choose to install additional software from the rt.x menu at any time, including matrox wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) plug-ins and matrox effect add-ons:
. adobe after effects plug-in lets you display the contents of your composition window in adobe after effects (version 4.0 or later) on your video monitor.
. 3ds max plug-in lets you display your 3ds max (version 4.0) animation on your video monitor.
. lightwave 3d plug-in lets you display your lightwave 3d (version 6.0 or later) animation on your video monitor. once you??ve installed this plug-in, you??ll need to add it to lightwave 3d as explained in the next section, "adding the matrox plug-in to lightwave 3d."
. matrox effect add-ons
- cube effect add-on lets you apply custom keyframeable settings to create 3d cubes with video, graphics clips, or colors mapped to all six sides. for details on how to set up cube effects, see the effect??s online help (available in english only).
- ripple effect add-on lets you apply custom keyframeable settings to create 3d ripple patterns that simulate a flag waving, ripples in a pond, or a dream sequence, to name a few. for details on how to set up ripple effects, see the effect??s online help (available in english only).
to install the matrox plug-in for a program, you must first install that program (such as 3ds max).

to install additional software from the rt.x menu:
1 insert your matrox rt.x installation cd in your cd-rom drive. windows automatically starts the matrox rt.x menu.
2 from the matrox rt.x menu, choose the option you want, such as install matrox rt.x wallpapers, and follow the onscreen instructions.
