when the osprey-100 analog mode checkbox is selected, the osprey-500 behaves like the osprey-100 video board. that is, the analog capture mode option facilitates switching to the video a/d on the pci interface device (conexant 878a) instead of using the same video stream being supplied to the filter operation. therefore, via the analog capture mode, applications that are not certified to use the capture interface of the osprey-500 directly can still capture video from the osprey-500. nothing needs to be done or configured for this feature; the drivers make this switch automatically.
