dpsvelocity is a non-linear desktop video editing and special effects software package for your pc. you can use it to interface with video capture hardware to digitize video source material. you can work with a wide range of digital video, audio, image and animation files. in addition to a wide range of premade transitions and effects, you can create your own customized transitions and effects. dpsvelocity has various output options as well, including dvd and web distribution and playing or printing to videotape.

    when you install dpsvelocity it will recognize any dps real-time dual stream video capture hardware you have installed and it will be optimized to work with that hardware. this user's guide describes how to use dpsvelocity when it is optimized to work with your dpsreality hardware.

    the dpsreality hardware is dual stream. when used with this hardware, dpsvelocity can use two streams of video simultaneously in real time for transitions and composited (layered) effects where the background and foreground images are both moving. graphics buffers on the dpsreality hardware mean you can also use two still images or rolling or crawling titles while using two streams of video.
