a project is a collection of one or more timeline versions. it is also a collection of video and audio, titles and other sorts of media as well as settings files and galleries used to organize that media into output files.

    each time you create a project, you will be asked to name it. depending on how you have configured other portions of your system, you may be asked to create a series of folders to save that media in.
