these two functions operate in much the same way.

    copy clips between galleries

    select one or as many clips as you wish to move by holding down the ctrl key as you click on them with the mouse. drag those clips from one gallery to the label tab of another. this leaves a copy of the clip in the original location, as well as placing a copy in the new location.

    move clips between galleries

    hold down the shift key while dragging selected clips to move the clips from one gallery to the other. this deletes the clip from the original location while placing it in the new one.

    before the copy or move is finalized, a window opens:

   

    clips copied or moved between galleries retain their marked in points, out points, and notes.

    you can also select in a gallery and right click, and select cut or copy, and then move the mouse cursor to another gallery and select paste.

    to move a series of clips to an as yet uncreated gallery, first select the clips. then select edit ] split gallery from the main menu. choose a name for the new gallery. the selected clips are placed there.
