dpsvelocity 8.0 allows you to capture video as dps files, synced audio associated with that video as dva files, and audio-only clips as wav files.

    you can specify the video compression and the audio quality.

    you can capture clips either one at a time as you view the source media. if you have the appropriate video equipment, you can capture timecode and reel name with clips so they can be recaptured later, or capture from a batch list.

    if you batch or timecode capture large numbers of clips at a low data rate, later on you can batch recapture just the clips you need at a higher data rate.

    to import clips and edits from a project on another system, dpsvelocity can import edls in some standard formats. the edl can be turned into a batch recapture list and on-lined on dpsvelocity.

    capture is not allowed during live feed. if you have live feed enabled (this is a right-click menu option on the timeline) capture options are not available.
