Copy an Image Sequence to dpsVelocity Media Drives
if you use an animation program which provides an image sequence output, or if you have used a video capture card which outputs a sequence of high resolution image files, you may need to import an image sequence to your dpsreality hard drives. your dpsvelocity system uses a virtual file system that allows you to save image sequences directly to the dedicated scsi drives. after an image sequence has been saved to the video drives, it can then be collected into the gallery as a single dps file and played back as a real time video file.
the virtual tape file system requires frames at a color depth of 24 bits (or 32 bits if you are also saving an alpha channel) in bmp, iff, pic, ras, rla, sgi, vpb, tga or tif format. the images must be saved at the standard ntsc or pal resolution (720 x 486 or 720 x 576). before you can copy an image sequence to your dpsreality hard drive, you must first create a new dps media file. please see your dpsreality user's guide, chapter 6, for more information.
