if you have another computer with a video card in it that has an svhs output, you can capture powerpoint presentations just like video.

    1. on the non-dpsvelocity computer, set the screen refresh rate to 60mhz (the same as video) and the screen resolution to 640x480 pixels.

    2. use an svhs cable to go from the svhs output of the powerpoint pc to the svhs in on your dpsvelocity breakout box or breakout cable.

    3. push play for the powerpoint presentation.

    4. push record on the capture screen of your dpsvelocity interface.

    5. if the presentation also has audio, you can capture the dat as an audio file and drop it on the timeline.

    you have captured the powerpoint presentation into your virtual tape file system, and it is now available for integration into other projects.

    you could also use the powerpoint computer as a live input, along with the audio, and mix video footage into it to create a full multimedia presentation.
