title files are usually specialized image files. dpsvelocity provides you with three titling capabilities: the dpsvelocity quick titler, built-in access to power cg, and the rendered title generator effect. you can also install other titling programs, such as inscriber cg or title motion, both by image north, which can be accessed either from within dpsvelocity, or as stand-alone programs. dpsvelocity also supports the inscriber icg file format.

   

    the dpsvelocity quick titler allows you to create simple rolls, crawls and stills in a dpt file format. dpt files contain an internal alpha channel and can be played back in real-time from your timeline.

    for more complicated titles, use the bundled power cg. use power cg to create still, rolling and crawling titles with internal alpha channel. dpts can be played back in real-time from the timeline. in addition to text, power cg files can contain various graphic elements such as shapes, icons and logos.

    for general purpose rendered titles, use the title generator. this filter-like tool easily attaches anti-aliased scrolling text with colors, borders, shadows, etc., to video/multimedia clips. use any truetype or type 1 windows font to create interesting and colorful titles for your videos. the titles you create this way are rendered effects that become part of the fx stack on the single clip they are applied to. see chapter 14: rendered effects.

    multiple outputs in different languages

    velocity doesn't create copies of proper 24 bit bmps into project/database/version/version1/timeline/timeline_tmp. every time you need to reset clip for all (other) clips, close dpsvelocity, delete all files in project/database/version/version1/timeline/timeline_tmp. all copies are re-created when you launch velocity.

    or experiment with bmp to "fit" velocity's requirements. if you are doing a project with several titles in each of several languages, instead of creating several versions (one for each language), create one with blank titles used from \titles\blank directory. then create all titles into \titles\english,\titles\czech etc. finally, copy/overwrite everything from \english to \blank.

    it should be immediately accepted. you don't have to close dpsvelocity to refresh everything when you change versions.
