pull thickness adjustment levers to central position (the 5 or 6 mm setting), open the lid, pull and twist locking pins (big black knobs in the center of the transport) through 90 degrees (so they will remain out when let go). you should grip the back of the paper guide assembly while pulling in an upwards motion.

   

    the whole transport assembly will now pivot forward allowing you to pull it out. you should try not to move the thickness levers while doing this operation as it will make it easier for the reinstallation of the paper guide assembly.

   

    refitting is the reverse procedure.
