1 connect the ethernet port labeled lan on the back of the internet firewall to the network segment that will be protected against unauthorized access.

    2 connect the ethernet port labeled wan on the back of the internet firewall to the rest of the network.

    devices connected to the wan port do not have firewall or web site filter protection. it is advised that you use another internet firewall to protect these computers.

    3 connect the power adapter to an ac power outlet and then connect it to the power port on the back of the internet firewall.
