instead of having a multitude of dip switches, all operator selectable features are accessable via the control panel and combined in the printer menu.

    this feature provides:

    1 easy handling of configuration (interface, etc.)

    2 quick parameter changes during an application

    3 a save function to make changes permanent (until purposely reset), facilitating changes in default settings.

    the menu has several levels:

    1 the first level contains the main functions

    2 level 2 contains sub-functions

    3 level 4 allows to select/confirm values

    4 level 3 allows to select/confirm values and contains further sub-functions
