1 ribbon problems

    1 make sure that the ribbon is:

    1 stretched correctly

    2 not worn thin or dry

    3 not torn or damaged in any other way

    4 not jammed

    2 carriage does not move smoothly

    2 examine the paper path. remove any obstructions. check that all packing material is removed.

    3 examine the carriage area for obstructions. remove where necessary.
