connect cables to computers or network segments into the rj-45 ports on the front of this switch. it does not matter which port you select. all the twisted-pair ports support 10baset or 100basetx or 1000baset.

    the cable must be a cross-over or straight category 5e or better 4-pair stp/utp cable for 1000baset, category 5 or better shielded twisted?pair or unshielded twisted?pair (stp/utp) cable for 100basetx, or category 3, 4, 5, or better stp/utp cable for 10baset (auto-mdix will not be functional when a twisted-pair port is forced to either 10 or 100 mbps).
