you can leave the program mode at any time by pressing the setup/ exit key. the "save changes" display appears. there are five choices, as described below. pressing the (? or (+) key displays other choices and pressing the next/save key selects the displayed choice.

    1 permanent —— permanently saves the changes. values are stored in the printer even when power is turned off.

    2 temporary —— saves the changes until you change them again or until power is turned off.

    3 cancel —— cancels all changes from the time you pressed the setup/exit key except the darkness and tear-off settings (if they were changed).

    4 load defaults —— loads factory defaults. the factory defaults are shown on the following pages.

    loading factory defaults requires printer calibration.

    5 load last save —— loads values from the last permanent save.
