1 slide the main battery compartment cover lock to the free position and remove the cover.
if the main battery compartment cover does not open, lift up tab “a” with your fingernail or a thin object.
2 load a lithium-ion battery pack into the main battery compartment in the direction shown in the figure.
3 attach the battery compartment cover to the data collector and slide the main battery compartment cover lock to the lock position.

be sure to turn the data collector off before you do this.
