admin password: the admin password is used to grant or restrict access to the administrative features of the viewstation.
meeting password: the meeting password is used to grant or restrict access to the non-administrative features to the viewstation web interface.
software update password: the purpose of the software update password is to prevent accidental updating of the viewstation software from the far site. this password is automatically entered by the viewstation from the initial setup. the software update password may be changed at any time.
multi-point password: a conference password is occasionally required for a multi-point conference that uses a third-party mcu.
1 text box: if left blank, no multi-point password is selected. if the text box is populated, the viewstation uses this password to connect to multi-point videoconferences.
2 use meeting password: the viewstation uses the password (if any) previously entered in the user setup screen (system info ] user setup) and appears in the meeting password field in the security screen (system info ] admin setup ] security).
crypto resync (viewstation v.35 only): if a cryptographic encoder/decoder is connected between the viewstation v.35 and the network, it may require a resynchronization pulse due to a network problem.
1 on: when selected, the crypto resync pulse screen (system info ] admin setup ] security ] crypto resync) appears as shown in figure 2-61.
2 off: the task of resynchronizing the encoder/decoder is accomplished by manual intervention.
on this screen you can enable crypto resync, set the time between pulses (in seconds), and set the pulse width (in milliseconds).
if the viewstation is in a call, and it loses h.320 synchronization, it continuously sends the resynchronization pulses at the specified rate with the specified pulse width until h.320 regains synchronization.
