using windows explorer, locate and access the cd-rom drive containing the osprey installation cd-rom.
1. navigate to the win2000 directory.
2. double-click setup.exe.
the osprey-540 video and audio capture driver window displays.
3. click next.
the information window displays.
4. click next.
the software license agreement window displays.
5. click yes to accept the end user software license agreement. if you do not wish to accept the agreement, click no to terminate the installation routine. the signal type window displays.
6. click next.
the choose destination location window displays.
7. if you wish to change the destination location for the files, click browse. click next.
the select program folder window displays.
8. if you wish to change the program folder, type the new name in the program folders field. click next.
the start copying files window displays.
9. if there are any settings to be changed prior to installation, click back to return to the previous windows. click next.
a question dialog window displays.
10. click yes to continue the installation process.
the digital signature not found window displays.
11. click yes to continue the installation process.
a question dialog window displays.
12. click yes to install the i420 codec on your system.
a question dialog window displays.
13. click yes to install the viewcast yuy2 codec on your system.
the osprey video division offers shortcuts window displays.
14. click yes to place the shortcut on your desktop. if you do not want the shortcut on your desktop, click no.
an information window displays.
15. click ok.
the product registration window displays.
16. click yes to register the osprey-540 card. click no if you do not want to register at this time.
the setup complete window displays.
17. click finish to complete the installation.
if you are not installing the osprey card at this time, click no then finish to proceed. when you start your computer after installing the osprey hardware, the found new hardware wizard runs upon detecting new hardware. please follow the steps below to complete the installation process.
after the osprey-540 card is physically installed in the computer, the digital signature not found window displays.
18. click yes.
the files needed window displays.
19. browse to the \program files\osprey-540\driver directory.
20. click ok.
a copy error window displays.
21. browse to the windows system directory\system32 directory.
22. click ok.
the digital signature not found window displays.
23. click yes.
the files needed window displays.
24. browse to the \program files\osprey-540\driver directory.
25. click ok.
you must restart the computer if there is more than one opsrey-540 card installed.
