installation guide for sram card
install your kingmax storage card into your desktop/notebook computer by following the steps.
before installing sram card
1. before installing, be sure your pcmcia socket is well settled.
2. you can check the situation from "control panel" → "system properties" → "device manager" → "pcmcia socket" . (figure.1)
2 starting to install sram card
1. insert card into socket. "memory technology drivers (mtds)" icon will automatically present, double click into.
2. the screen will show up "sram memory card" icon. (figure.2)
3. single click "sram memory card" icon, and then click "properties".
4. the screen will show as figure 3.
5. click "update driver" to continue. (figure.4)
6. single click "sram memory card" icon, and then click "properties". (figure.5)
starting to install sram card
1. insert card into socket. "memory technology drivers (mtds)" icon will automatically present, double click into.
2. the screen will show up "sram memory card" icon. (figure.2)
3. single click "sram memory card" icon, and then click "properties".
4. the screen will show as figure 3.
5. click "update driver" to continue. (figure.4)
6. single click "sram memory card" icon, and then click "properties". (figure.5)
7. pick up "search for a better driver than the one your device is using now." icon.
8. click "next" to continue. (figure.6)
9. pick up "specify a location" icon.
10. insert windows98 cd and browse drivers\storage\ftl in the cd-rom (d:\ or e:\ or f: etc.).
11. click "next" to continue. (figure.7)
12. click "next" to continue.
13. the system completes installing process.
14. click "finish" to close installing window. (figure.8)
15. check the device manager again.
16. "static ram memory card" icon should be presented. (figure.9)
17. congradulations!! the sram card works !
