1. lift the pick roller until it is held by the magnet catch. the hopper table moves up to feed position.
be careful not to get your fingers or things caught in the mechanism when the hopper table moves up.
2. place documents face-up at the center of the hopper table.

3. set the side guides to the width of the documents to scan. load the documents so that the top edge of the documents contacts to the hopper table guide plate.
