once a direct connection to the serial port connection is established, the iogin screen for the on-board configuration program appears as shown figure 1.
if this is your first time to log into the configuration program, then the default password is "switch".
for information on changing the password, see "changing the password" on page 29.
if monitor shows a blank screen when you connect to console port, you can use [ctrl+s] to refresh the login screen.
