Autobaud Function
when the autobaud function is enabled, fcd-2 can identify the operating data rate of the terminal by analyzing the timing of three consecutive carriage return + line feed characters (generated by pressing three times the [enter] key). the detected data rate is then used for the current communication session.
the automatic baud rate identification procedure is performed (or repeated) whenever three consecutive carriage returns are received after one of the following events occurs:
1 the dtr line has been switched off.
2 the exit command has been executed.
3 the idle disconnect time-out expired because no data has been exchanged with the supervision terminal.
in case one of these events occurred, fcd-2 assumes that the current communication session has been terminated. therefore, when the password protection is enabled, the password must be entered again before the supervision terminal can resume communication with fcd-2.
