when the crc-4 function is enabled, you are able to monitor the end-to-end data transmission performance. fcd-2 derives information about errors from the eldata payload by performing a cyclic redundancy check (crc), and transmits the resulting crc checksum in addition to the raw data bits.
the receiving end recalculates the checksum and compares the results with the received checksum: any difference between the two checksums indicated that the current data block being evaluated contains bit errors.
the cyclic redundancy check calculates the total number of crc-4 errors occurred during the last minute. the counter range is 0 to 65535.
use the following procedure to display the diagnostics data:

for crc-4, the count can increase during the display, as new errors are reported.
when the maximum count (65535), it continues to be displayed until the counter is reset.
→to reset a diagnostics counter:
1. display the counter to be reset.
2. press enter.
