    this page shows how to enter text for:

    1 program titles for timer recording (→pages 24 and 25)

    program titles (→page 32)

    2 play list titles (→page 30)

    3 disc titles (→page 38)

    4 folder titles of still pictures (→page 35)

    you can enter up to:

    1 64 characters (dvd-ram)

    a maximum of 44 characters is possible when inputting a title from the timer recording menu.

    2 40 characters for a disc title (dvd-r)

    3 44 characters for a program title (dvd-r)

    4 36 characters for a folder title of still pictures (card, dvd-ram)

    preparation

    release protection before proceeding.

    cartridge →page 10, program →page 32, disc →page 38 [ram]

    write protect →page 11 [sd/card]

    1 after the titling screen appears

   

    the title is entered and the screen disappears.

    you can also finish entering the title by selecting “set” and pressing [enter].

    to end input midway

    press [return] (does not save any title information).

    using the numbered buttons to enter characters e.g., entering the letter “r”

    1 press [7] to move to the 7th row.

    2 press [7] twice to highlight “r”.

    3 press [enter].

   

   

    1 the full title is shown in the properties screen (→page 30 and 32), but if you enter a long title, only part of it is shown in the program list or play list screen.

    2 if you enter a long title, only part of it is shown in the menu screen after finalization. [dvd-r]

    3 still picture folder titles

    (1) titles are saved in the “title.dvd” folder and can only be displayed on this unit.

    (2) input is not possible if the destination lacks sufficient space or has exceeded the maximum number of allowable files.

    (3) the title may not appear correctly if input was done using other equipment.
