scanner status is indicated as follows:
2 power switch
pressing this switch turns the scanner on and off.
3 adapter slot
adapters are equipped with a fl ap that revents dust from entering the scanner via the adapter slot. leave an adapter in the slot when the scanner is not in use.
4 ma-21 slide mount adapter
this adapter is used to scan slides. additional adapters are available for scanning other types of fi lm.
5 vents

6 film gate (5000 ed only)
this gate is used with the sa-30 roll-film adapter (available separately for the 5000 ed).
7 usb interface connector
the square usb cable connector is inserted here.
8 ac connector
the female end of the ac power cable plugs into this connector.
