1 power input - connects to the external power supply that is provided with the sonicwall. the use of an uninterruptible power supply (ups) is recommended to protect the sonicwall against damage or loss of data due to electrical storms, power failures, or power surges.

    2 internal fans - four chassis fans and two power supply fans maintain the temperature of the sonicwall and prevent overheating.

    obstructing the airflow or blocking the fans causes the sonicwall to overheat. be sure to allow enough room for circulating air around the appliance.
